1. Power off your phone.
2. Once the device is off. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power button together for a few seconds.
3. If you see some options in the menu then release hold buttons.
4. Now, choose Recovery Mode using the Volume Down button and select it using the Power button.
5. Now, your phone should boot into Recovery Mode.

Boot HTC Vivid into Recovery using ADB command

1. First of all, make sure you have installed HTC Vivid USB Driver and ADB and Fastboot Drivers on your Windows PC.
2. Enable "USB Debugging" on your phone from Developer Options. If Developer Options is missing; go to Settings > About Phone and tap on Build Number for about 7-10 times.
3. Connect your device to PC and open Command Prompt (CMD).
4. Enter the below command to boot HTC Vivid into Recovery Mode.

   adb reboot recovery

Boot HTC Vivid into Fastboot Mode / Bootloader Mode

1. Power off your Phone.
2. Now, press and hold the Volume Down and Power button together for a few seconds.
3. Release the keys as soon as you see the Boot Mode on the screen.
   
4. Now, choose Fastboot Mode using the Volume Down button and select it using the Power button.
5. Now, your phone should boot into Fastboot Mode.

Assuming ADB and Fastboot Drivers installed on PC, and USB Debugging enabled on Phone enter the below command after connecting it to PC.

Open Command Prompt (CMD) on your PC and enter the below command.

adb reboot bootloader
